OIl: Florals Series.  Early 1990's
Three are available.
Picture
'Wallflower' 60" x 84", 1992. Available

After working in watercolors for seven years, I was encouraged to experiment in oil. The first oil, 'Drifting in the Sea", contains floral details and has strong ties to the Invertebrate Series. My first foray into oils was inspired by the macro photographs I was taking at the time.

'Paul’s Passiflora' 24" x 18" 1992 Available
'Petunia (Cleo)' 24" x 18" 1992
'Alyssum' 24" x 18" 1992
'Young Buds' 18" x 24" 1992
'White Blossom' 18" x 24" 1992
'Mexican Orange Blossom' 48" x 36" 1992
'Freesia' 18" x 24" 1992 Available
'Rhododendron' 30" x 24" 1992 Available

The yellow blossoms on the left side of this painting are a Euphorbia species. I painted the orange 'hand' while referring to an 18" high model I carved out of petroleum wax.
